This VLC player guide is the backup path for LemoTV on a PC. Open the M3U, then confirm Live works before you travel.

VLC plays a LemoTV M3U on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. It is a backup player. It has no TV guide like TiviMate. This guide shows how to open the playlist.

VLC player used to open a LemoTV M3U list.

What you need

  • A LemoTV plan. See LemoTV pricing.
  • The VLC app. Get it from LemoTV downloads if your store does not list it.
  • Your LemoTV portal URL (or M3U link), username, and password from the email after you buy.
  • Stable internet. About 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.

How to add LemoTV

Step 1. Install VLC

Install VLC from videolan.org or your phone store. Open VLC.

Step 2. Open the M3U

On a computer: Media → Open Network Stream. Paste the M3U URL from your LemoTV email. Press Play. Channels appear as a playlist on the left.

On a phone: Open Network / Stream, paste the same M3U, then play. Swipe the playlist to change channels.

Step 3. For a real TV remote

Use TiviMate or Smarters instead. Full TiviMate taps (Add playlist → Xtream Codes) are in the TiviMate setup guide.

If it does not load

  • Copy the portal URL, username, and password again. Delete extra spaces.
  • Try Xtream Codes first. Use M3U only if that is what the email sent.
  • Try another player from downloads.
  • Still stuck? Contact LemoTV support from this website. More help: FAQs and setup.

When VLC player is the right LemoTV backup

Use VLC player on a laptop when the TV app fails. Therefore you still watch news or a match. Also VLC opens an M3U without a store login. Then you can confirm the LemoTV line works.

It has no full EPG like TiviMate. However, network stream is enough for travel. Next raise the cache in preferences if HD stutters. See lemotv windows for PC tips.

Do not leave the M3U in a shared browser. Also close VLC when you finish. A VLC player window still uses one device slot. Plans: pricing. What IPTV means: Wikipedia IPTV.

If the playlist fails, paste the URL again. Then check https versus http. Next try TiviMate from TiviMate setup. That is the usual VLC player fallback path.
